PRODUKSI ASI PADA IBU NIFAS YANG MELAKUKAN PERAWATAN PAYUDARA DI WILAYAH PESAPEN SURABAYA

Perawatan payudara yang baik sangat mempengaruhi kelancaran produksi ASI. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah perawatan payudara dan produksi ASI di antara ibu nifas di wilayah Pesapen Surabaya. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Populasi Ibu Nifas adalah 15 responden. Variabel pada penelitian ini yaitu produksi ASI pada Ibu Nifas dan seberapa sering Ibu Nifas melakukan perawatan payudara. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan formulir kuesioner Hasil penelitian ini didapati bahwa ibu dengan produksi ASI lancar sebanyak 12 Ibu Nifas (80%) sedangkan produksi ASI tidak lancar sebanyak (20%). Dalam seberapa sering Ibu Nifas yang melakukan perawatan payudara dengan baik sebanyak 9 Ibu Nifas (60%) dan 6 Ibu Nifas yang melakukan perawatan payudara cukup (40%). Oleh karena itu diharapkan kepada tenaga kesehatan untuk lebih banyak memberikan informasi tentang pentingnya perawatan payudara dan tetap meningkatkan dan mempertahankan tentang cara perawatan payudara untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI.

ABSTRACT

Adequate breast care improves the breast milk production. The study aims to identify the breast care activity and the breast milk production among post partum mothers at Pesapen Surabaya. The study is descriptive. The study population includes 15 post partum mothers and all of them are appointed as the study participants. Breast care activity and breast milk production are the variables of the study. The data were collected using questionnaires. The study shows that 12 (80%) post partum mothers have adequate breast milk production, and respectively 3 (20%) have inadequate production of milk. Also, 9 (60%) mothers perform adequate breastcare while 6 (40%) have moderate breastcare activity. The study recommends that health staff need to provide health education and promotion about the importance of breastcare to boost the breastmilk production.
